Coco-Chan's Kimono
A Little Girl's Wishes Come True in a Garden of Flowers and Friendship

In this charming picture book, Coco-Chan waits impatiently for her mother to finish sewing her new kimono. As Mama stitches, Coco-Chan's attention skips to a dragonfly who flits through the window and beckons her outside. Stepping into the garden, Coco-Chan discovers a wonderful world where she is able to chat with the bugs and beetles and play with them among the flowers and grasses. The colors, patterns, and even the little butterflies on her kimono come to life and become her playmates.

Illustrated with beautiful watercolor drawings, this delightful tale immediately engages young children and helps open their eyes to the world of wonder just outside their doors. It also introduces children to aspects of Japanese art and culture. Quilting and fabric enthusiasts will love the beautiful kimono designs that inspired the story. A wonderful gift for children and the young at heart! Fun for kids and parents to complete together, the book also includes a simple pattern for a cut-and-fold paper kimono.
